TrainingProgram for Oversea Undergraduate Students in the Discipline of Applied Chemistry (2018)


一、培养目标(Purpose of TrainingProgram

 本专业旨在将来华留学本科生培养成为应用化学领域的未来合格工程师。通过学习和实践,来华留学生能够系统地了解中国社会文化,具有一定的汉语交流能力,具备扎实的化学化工基本理论、基本知识和较强的实验操作技能;具有良好的科学素养、较强的创新精神和实践能力;毕业后能在化学与精细化工相关领域从事科学研究、科学管理、生产技术、产品研发等方面工作的应用型人才。

The major aims to cultivate oversea undergraduate students to become the future qualified engineers in the field of applied chemistry. Through study and practice, the oversea students can systematically understand the Chinese social culture; have a certain ability to communicate in Chinese. The graduated students should have good understandings of principles of chemical reaction engineering and basic knowledge of chemistry, as well as good experimental skills. In addition, successful graduates will have good scientific literacy, strong innovation spirit and good practical ability. They will be capable of academic research, scientific management and R&D in related chemical industries, and be able to work in the fields of fine chemicals and chemical engineering.

毕业要求(GraduationRequirements

 毕业生应在知识、能力和素质方面满足以下要求:

Graduates are required to meet the following knowledge, ability and quality requirements:

1)遵守中国政府颁布的相关政策法律以及江苏科技大学制定的相关规章制度;正确理解中国社会文化中国文化,尊重中国传统习俗。

Abide by the relevant policies and laws promulgated by the Chinese government, and the rules and regulations of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (JUST); Learn about Chinese social culture correctly and respect the Chinese traditional customs.

2)具有系统和扎实的化学化工基础知识、基本理论、基本技能以及相关的工程技术知识,了解应用化学学科的新知识、新理论、新技术和新应用。

To fully, deeply grasp the foundational theories and basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical engineering along with related knowledge of engineering technology. Understand new knowledge, new theory, new technology and new application in applied chemistry subject.

3)具有较强的自学能力、创新能力、分析解决问题能力以及适应社会能力。

To have stronger abilities of self-learning, innovation, analyzing and solving problems, and adapting to society.

4)熟练运用文献检索工具,有效地获取相关信息;能够准确理解应用化学领域内的相关专业中文文献。

Skillfully use the professional literature retrieval tools and effectively obtain the related information; Be able to understand correctly the related Chinese professional literature in the field of applied chemistry.

5)具有较好的科学素养,具备运用所学知识和实验技能进行基础研究、应用研究、技术开发和科学管理的基本技能。

To have good scientific literacy and basic skills to conduct the basic research, the research of application of chemistry and chemical engineering, the development of technology and the management of science by using the knowledge and experimental skills learned from this training program.

主干学科(Main Subjects

 应用化学

Applied Chemistry

四、主要知识域(Main Knowledge Areas

 无机化学、有机化学、分析化学、物理化学、化工原理、仪器分析、精细化学品化学、生物化学。

Inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering principles, instrumental analysis, chemistry of fine chemicals, and  biochemistry.

五、核心课程(Core Courses

 汉语、无机化学、分析化学、有机化学、物理化学、化工原理、仪器分析、精细化学品化学、生物化学、精细有机合成及单元反应。

Chinese, Inorganic chemistry, Analytical chemistry, Organic chemistry, Physical chemistry, Principles of chemical engineering, Instrumental analysis, Chemistry of fine chemicals, Biochemistry, Fine organic synthesis and unit reactions.

六、集中性实验实践教学环节

 集中性实验实践教学环节课程见附表1,采用中外学生混班教学模式。

The courses of centrally experimental and practical part refer to Table 1; the teaching model is mixed class of home and overseas students.

七、教学语言(Teaching Language

 除集中性实验实践教学环节及汉语课程外,采用全英文授课。

Apart from the teaching of Chinese and centrally experimental and practical part, all lessons are taught in English.

学制与学分(Schooling and credits

1、学制(Schooling System

 标准学制为四年。

The standard schooling lasts 4 years.

2、学分要求(Credits Requirements

 须修满130学分,才能毕业。

The oversea students will be granted graduation when they obtain more than 130 credits.

九、学位授予(Degree Award

 毕业生符合江苏科技大学来华留学生学士学位授予条件,经学校学位评定委员会审查通过,授予理学学士学位。

When the students meet the requirements of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (JUST) granting bachelor's degree for overseas students, they will be examined and awarded the Bachelor Degree of Science by the academic degree evaluation committee of JUST.
