The 2021 Annual Conference of Foreign Students Education Management Research Committee of Jiangsu Higher Education Society was held in Nanjing on Dec. 26-27. The leaders of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and Jiangsu Research Committee on Management of Foreign Students attended the annual meeting and delivered speeches. The University was awarded the Advanced Group of International Students Education in Jiangsu Province in 2021 after being declared, evaluated by experts and submitted to the provincial education department for record. This is also the fourth consecutive year that the university has won this honor.

The university actively copes with the impact of the normalization of the epidemic on the education of international students in China. Facing the four difficulties of enrolling international students, guaranteeing the quality of teaching online, communicating with overseas students and managing the daily life of domestic students, the university takes the initiative to adjust the policies on enrollment, teaching guarantee, service management, employment and further study of international students. In 2021, 7 international students were appointed as the first batch of enrollment ambassadors; 147 international students have registered this year, among which 59.2% are postgraduates, further optimizing the student source structure; in terms of teaching quality assurance, the arrangement, teaching plan and implementation are real. In the quality assurance of teaching, the arrangement, teaching plan, teaching implementation and supervision are real; while doing a good job in enrollment and cultivation, the university pays more attention to the destination of graduates and establishes the first three internship and practice bases for international students. In addition, the university has established the first three internship bases for international students, actively assisted returning international students to be employed in Chinese enterprises going abroad, and recommended outstanding students to pursue further studies in famous universities at home and abroad through multiple channels.

In the new year, our university will continue to improve the management and service level, build a comprehensive and three-dimensional education system for international students, and promote the education for international students to a new level.
